Is there an additional Travel Fee?

For most areas in the Seattle or I-5 corridor the travel fee is included in our pricing.  There are exceptions where we might need to charge you a reasonable fee, depending on location or size of wedding party.

Is there a limit to how many faces you can do in one day?

No, we work as teams and can accommodate as large as party as you require.

How much time is needed to schedule the day of the special occasion?

We ask for 1 hour prelim with the bride for colors, special requests and skin conditions. We also have available 30 minute prelims for any of the additional faces our make up consultant is doing.  On the day of the wedding we ask for 1 ½ to 2 hours with the bride and we plan for 30-45 minutes for any additional faces. 

Why does there seem to be a delay in answering the 800#?

Since we are all independent artists who work as a team it may take a day or 2 to respond to the phone line. Email is usually much faster. If you can give us the dates you are requesting on your message and the location, we can meet your needs quicker. We apologize for any delay.

Why can’t I wear the makeup I wear everyday, on my wedding day?

Because you don't get married everyday. It's your very special day (if not the most special day) in your life! One of the reasons why your makeup choices change is because of the photographs, venue, weather, and stress. You want to look like you, just enhanced... fresh, beautiful and happy... in person and in the pictures.

Does wearing a white dress make a difference?

Yes. White or any variation on it. Some artists believe that white is the absence of all color. So you need to wear a little more color on your face, especially the lips and cheeks.

If my photographer is taking black and white photos, does it matter?

Yes, it does.  Colors that look good in color photos may not look so good in a black and white.  It will depend on the photographer, filters, time of year, conditions, etc. etc.

Do I need to consider my color scheme when choosing my makeup?

Yes, you should consider it, but don’t let it dictate your makeup choices.

How do I book an appointment or a Party?

Email the thebeautydr@thebeautydr.com or call us at 866-731-6906, or print the booking sheet on the contacts page and fax to 866-731-6906 and we will contact you to book a make up artist asap. At the preliminary meeting or when the date is booked a non refundable down payment of $35.00 is required that applies toward your service.
